Bespoke Digital Agency
PHP Developer
In this role, I developed B2B websites for manufacturing and accountancy clients as part of a small, collaborative development team. I worked in a fast-paced digital agency environment focusing on digital marketing. I primarily used the PHP-based Laravel framework to build and maintain a custom in-house CMS, amending and improving client websites. Additionally, I managed website hosting on Linux servers and handled security and DNS using tools such as Cloudflare. Assistant Network Manager
In this role I was working as the deputy alongside the Network Manager. I was responsible for maintaining a wide range of systems used to power the college infrastructure. I worked with systems such as: Active Directory, Exchange, Veeam Backup, Intune, SCCM to maintain the continuity and security of the college network. My primary responsibility was ensuring the consistency of the college backups, ensuring that they were robust and reliable. I had to implement Business Continuity plans, security procedures and policies to improve the overall day-to-day functionality of the network. Most of the servers were powered by Microsoft Hyper-V and were predominantly Windows-based.

IT Technician
This role gave me the opportunity to develop my IT skill set and industry knowledge. This involved working as first and second line support. I had to offer support to Staff and Students for general day-to-day IT problems. Fixing and maintaining computer systems (desktops, laptops, servers). I also worked with Microsoft Server tools such as DHCP and DNS to fix issues relevant to these services. The first-line support element of this involved telephone, email and in-person communication to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

In this role, I was responsible for a small team of warehouse operatives. I had to ensure that the daily targets were met so that the work was carried out effectively. I was responsible for stock control and ordering the various product lines, working with department heads to maintain high standards and a large output of orders. I had to carry out regular inspections of the department to conform with Food Hygiene standards.
